These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of GiftMatch Compass, a career-discovery web application operated by EverRoad Pathways LLC, doing business as GiftMatch Compass (“GiftMatch Compass,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, clicking “I agree,” or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
You may create an individual account if you are at least 13 years old. Users between 13 and 17 must have permission from a parent, legal guardian, or a school acting in loco parentis under an institutional agreement with GiftMatch. Children under 13 may not create an account directly; schools and parents may onboard younger users only through a signed agreement that provides verifiable parental consent consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA,” 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506).
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You may not share credentials or allow another person to use your account.
Where a school, school district, college, or other educational institution (a “School”) licenses GiftMatch Compass for its students, the School’s written agreement with GiftMatch controls and supersedes any conflicting provision in these Terms. For student users made available to GiftMatch by a School:
Individual users who believe they are signing up under a School license should confirm eligibility with their School before agreeing to these Terms.
GiftMatch Compass provides a self-serve personality-trait assessment, an archetype profile, personalized career matches and deep dives, self-serve AI Coach software tools, and related content. Career content blends (i) AI-assisted narrative and (ii) citations to public career-outlook data published by the U.S. government and O*NET®. The service is an informational decision-support tool. It is not professional career, legal, financial, educational, psychological, or medical advice, does not make hiring, admissions, eligibility, or other consequential decisions, and does not guarantee any employment, salary, admission, or outcome.
Core features are free. The Full Report is a one-time purchase that unlocks the Compass narrative and career deep-dives permanently for that account. Limitless Coach is a recurring subscription that adds a self-serve AI software toolkit for resume drafting, interview practice, job search, and skills planning on top of an active Full Report. It does not include human coaching, consulting, recruitment, job placement, or managed services. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), our authorized reseller and merchant of record; Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to the transaction. Limitless Coach renews automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your account; self-serve AI Coach access continues through the end of the paid billing cycle. Prices, features, and plan structures may change; we will give reasonable notice of material changes to paid plans.
Our complete refund policy is available at /refund-policy. In summary:
Full Report — $29 one-time purchase. We offer a full refund within 48 hours of purchase if you are not satisfied with your results. If a technical issue prevents you from accessing your report after payment, we will issue a full refund regardless of timing.
Limitless Coach — $12 per month. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless canceled before renewal. You may cancel your Limitless Coach subscription at any time, and you will not be charged again after cancellation. Refunds are available within 48 hours of your initial Limitless Coach charge. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Bundle — $29 Full Report plus first month of Limitless Coach free. The $29 Full Report portion follows the Full Report policy. The included first Limitless Coach month requires no refund because no separate Coach charge is made. Any later Limitless Coach charges follow the standard Limitless Coach policy.
School and institutional licenses. Signed school or institutional order forms may set their own refund terms. If no written order form controls, refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase and before more than 20 percent of seats have been activated.
Applicable law and Paddle’s buyer terms may provide additional or non-waivable refund or withdrawal rights. We reserve the right to decline refund requests involving suspected fraud or repeated abuse. To request a refund, email support@giftmatchcompass.com from the address on the account or use the refund link in your Paddle receipt.
You may submit content to the service, including quiz responses, resume text, experience entries, interview answers, audio recordings for transcription, and feedback (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant GiftMatch a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, display, and use your User Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service and to generate your personalized output. We do not sell User Content.
You represent that your User Content does not violate anyone else’s rights and that you have the right to submit it. Do not upload sensitive information that is not necessary for the service (for example, government identifiers, medical records, or other people’s personal information). If you upload a resume, we extract text to create structured entries, send the extracted text to OpenAI rather than the original uploaded file for AI parsing, and do not keep the original uploaded file after processing.
Narrative content (your compass narrative, career fit explanations, day-in-the-life passages, reflections, and similar text) is generated or assisted by third-party large language models operated by OpenAI. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Verify any number, URL, credential, or claim that matters before acting on it. Do not rely on AI output as a substitute for professional advice, and do not use GiftMatch output as the sole basis for hiring, admissions, credit, eligibility, or other consequential decisions about a person.
Salary, employment, and occupation data cited on career cards is grounded in public U.S. federal sources, principally the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the O*NET® program. Federal content is in the public domain under 17 U.S.C. § 105. O*NET® content is used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0); O*NET® is a trademark of the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration. Job postings shown in the self-serve AI Coach toolkit may come from third-party job-listing providers such as Adzuna and USAJOBS and link to the original posting or application page. Third-party names, logos, and trademarks referenced on career cards or self-serve AI Coach tools are the property of their respective owners; references are nominative only and do not imply affiliation or endorsement. See the full notice on the How It Works page.
You agree not to: (a) access the service by any means other than our provided interfaces; (b) reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or use automated agents to harvest content beyond what a normal user would generate; (c) republish or resell GiftMatch-generated content except for personal, non-commercial use; (d) upload unlawful, infringing, harassing, or malicious content; (e) use the service to impersonate others or to collect information about minors without authorization; or (f) attempt to bypass rate limits, billing controls, or security features.
The GiftMatch name, logo, site design, trait taxonomy, archetype library, assessment questions, scoring logic, and generated narrative templates are owned by GiftMatch or its licensors and are protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark law. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your personal (or School-authorized) use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any AI output or cited URL will be accurate or current.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GiftMatch and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You will defend, indemnify, and hold GiftMatch harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your User Content, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the service, except to the extent caused by our own fault.
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide you the service creates a security or legal risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, Sections 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 16) will survive.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (for example, by email or in-app notice). Your continued use of the service after the effective date of a change means you accept the updated Terms.
The service is directed at users in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and at your own risk; some features may not be available, and the service is not marketed to or actively offered in jurisdictions outside the United States. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to any binding arbitration agreement, you and GiftMatch Compass agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Ohio for any dispute not resolved informally.
Questions about these Terms, or a request related to a School license or a user under 13, can be sent to support@giftmatchcompass.com.
